Evolution façade, Glasgow Fort

Contemporary panelling and an Evolution finish make a perfect combination.

The Finish: Evolution 'Peat Fire'.

The Venue

Glasgow Fort is an award-winning shopping and leisure experience and one of central Scotland’s leading retail destinations. Together with an array of well-known retail brands and a  Vue Cinema there are numerous eateries and restaurants all competing with one another for business.

The ‘Look’

Gregg’s has a well-known eye-catching livery with its logo of large white lettering, four orange coloured blocks and the sky blue background. Many food outlets in the Glasgow Fort are selling ‘artisan’ foods, and foods from diverse cultures and are using an organic looking décor – with wood, sail boards, stone, canvas, terracotta and so on.  We would like to think that the Greggs branch at the Fort was attracted to our natural looking Evolution™ range for this reason.

The façade was updated with 2mm aluminium cassette panelling, specified and supplied by InOpera Facades Ltd and finished in Evolution ‘Peat Fire’. This shade is similar to Corten but there is no run-off or staining of surrounding material. The panelling has feature perforations which create an interesting effect, enhanced by the consistent inconsistency of the weathered steel appearance of the coating. The façade will look smart for years with a guarantee of up to 25 years for gloss, colour and adhesion.

Why Evolution™?

  • Evolution finishes reflect the patinas caused naturally by metallic oxidation, ageing and changes in composition.
  • The Evolution range conforms to BS EN 12206-1 and Qualicoat specifications .
  • Striking designs achieved through using polyester resin systems, and a bit of magic!
  • Excellent corrosion protection and weather resistance
  • High level of colour and gloss retention
  • Tactile finish
